Serve this crowd-pleasing Taco Dip at your Super Bowl Party:  Taco Dip

Try this simple recipe that will satisfy even the fussiest of football fans this weekend.  Sour cream combined with taco mix is smothered with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, black olives, and onions – serve with tortilla chips!

SERVES: 12
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 1 envelope taco mix
  • 1 – 8 oz. package shredded taco or cheddar cheese
  • 1 – 8 oz. package shredded lettuce or 1/4 head of iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 3 to 4 oz. can of sliced ripe olives
  • 2 onions, sliced or diced
  • 1 tomato, diced

Directions:

Step 1:  Add one envelope of taco mix into sour cream. Evenly spread the taco mix and sour cream mixture in the bottom of a 9″ x 13″ or shallow bowl of approximately the same size. Sprinkle desired amount of shredded lettuce all over the top of the prepared taco dip.

Step 2:  Sprinkle desired amount of shredded cheese on the lettuce. Top with desired amounts of olives, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions. Chill until ready to serve. Serve with Tortilla Chips.

Note:  You can add many different toppings and accompaniments such as black beans, cilantro, salsa, guacamole … and more. Have fun!
